Babies, Toddlers, & Kids

“One generation will declare your works to the next”

No one has a greater influence on your kids than you do. We consider it a privilege and high responsibility to partner with parents to teach children the wonders of God’s Word.  Kids are always welcome to stay with parents during our gatherings, but we also offer kid-specific ministry.

In IHBC Kids Ministry, we value…

  1. Safety for everyone. Along with other safety and security measures, all Kids Ministry volunteers are approved church members, have passed background checks, and follow the IHBC Child Safety guidelines.

  2. Excellence in our programming, including everything from the faithfulness of biblical instruction to the fun!

  3. Balance for our volunteers. We organize the schedule so that each amazing volunteer doesn’t often miss worship in our Main Gathering.

On Sundays

Toddlers and kids are checked in with a secure sticker system. This simple process ensures that only you will pick up your kids.

During the Core Seminar hour (9:30am):

We offer Kids Sunday School (ages 4-9). During this time, children are taught the Bible with Truth78 curriculum. (Kids Check-in required)

During our Main Gathering (10:45am):

The Toddler Class (confident walkers - 3 year olds) provides a teaching and play time where toddlers are taught biblical truth from Truth78 curriculum by our volunteer children's ministry workers. Parents can check in and drop off toddlers before Main Gathering. (Kids Check-in required)

The Kids Gathering (ages 4-9) is an opportunity for kids to be taught biblical truth by kids ministry workers who love to point them to Jesus. During the last song before the sermon, children accompany the teachers and security to their classroom. Parents pick up from the classroom after the Main Gathering concludes. (Kids Check-in required)

At any time, mothers with babies are welcome to the convenient Mothers Room near the back of the Main Auditorium to feed or change their babies.

Throughout the Main Gathering (10:45am), mothers and fathers are welcome to take their babies and toddlers (ages 0-2) to a designated “self-service nursery” room. It’s normal for little ones to become vocal during church. When that happens, this space allows parents to comfortably watch the service on live stream where they will find toys, snacks, rocking chairs, a changing station, etc.

These opportunities are designed to teach kids and equip parents so that children may know biblical truth about who God is, how much he loves them, and how he has made forgiveness possible in the gospel of Christ. In so doing, we joyfully declare the works of God to the next generation!
